Friday Flower Fix & Last day of school

Happy Friday everyone!

"Nature is too thin a screen; the glor of the omnipresent God bursts through everywhere."

***
Well, today is the last day of school for our kids. What a L-O-N-G school year this has been. But it was exciting too. Jayla totally enjoyed being in school everyday and learned SO much. She's so funny...as she's NOT looking forward to the summer break. Poor thing, just has no real concept of time and doesn't understand why she can't go to school for 2 months. She said to me earlier this week, "But mommy, I don't WANT another Spring break!" lol. Little does she know, the upcoming break is alot longer than the week she had off in the Spring. I sure hope she keeps this attitude about school.

Yesterday, they had their last field trip and went to a local park to play. I met her there and ate lunch with her and her classmates. I even let her use my camera to take a few pix of her friends. I'll have to show those later, as I left the camera with her teachers this morning so they can take some pix of the kids enjoying an ice cream party on their last day.

Markell, on the other hand is really looking forward to getting out of school. He successfully survived 6th grade and his first year of middle school. Although it was a VERY rough road for him (more on that in another post).

Lastly, I ask that you guys keep us in your thoughts and prayers over the next few weeks. Not only because it's going to be a chore to keep both a 12 year old boy and a 5 year old girl entertained for 2 + months :-). But because some major changes are about to take place in our home. My heart aches when I think of what's forthcoming. But I know that God will take care and will see us through. I do plan to share this with you all soon...when the time is right.

Have a beautiful weekend everyone!!!

We've got guests...

Now those who know me know that I'm not much of an outdoorsy type person. Nor do I like "uninvited" guests on my deck or in my yard....more specifically, things like bugs, spiders, bees or possums, etc. Note: I DO, however, realize that some of the aforementioned visitors are just part of life, so to speak...they are GONNA be around. And believe it or not, I'm ok with that...as long as I am inside and they are OUTside :-).

But today, we had some outside guests come and visit and we actually invited them. Jayla has been worrying me to death about getting a hummingbird feeder. We've had one for quite some time, but I never put it out. When it was given to us, it also included a box of the nector mix. But to make a long story short...our sweet little doggie, Trae, got into that box one day. He was less than 6 months old when he stumbled upon this sweet delicacy. And needless to say, his little snout was bright red and he was bouncing off the walls!!! I guess sugar has the same affect on dogs as it does kids.

ANYWAY...back to the topic at hand. Jayla asked for a feeder about a week ago while we were out shopping. Fortunately, I didn't buy one because I remembered that I still may have one laying around. I found it and in turn, found a recipe for the nector. I bought a little hook for it and put it out on our deck about 2 days ago. And today, we had some little visitors. They are amazing. Take a look....

Aren't they cute? Jayla was SO excited! She kept asking me what time they'd be back, cuz they had bunches of water to drink before darktime :-). I told her that he was going to tell his friends about what he'd found and that he'd be back later.
Welcome visitors!!

The GRADUATE!

I can't believe that this coming Friday is the last day of school. Markell successfully completed his first year of middle school and Jayla, her year of Pre-K.

For some reason, the county we live in is no longer allowed to have graduation ceremonies for the Pre-K classes. Bummer!!! I remember when we first moved to Cobb County back in 1999, Markell had one...talk about cute.

Well, even though Jayla's class isn't going to have a ceremony, they did get to take cap & gown pictures....

Look how happy and proud she is! Besides the fact that this girl LOVES taking pictures, she was so excited to wear this "crap & gown" lol. See, she even had her little nails done :-). As tradition would have it, we'll be taking Jayla out to dinner this weekend at the restaurant of her choice. Markell chose Applebee's. And we think Jayla is leaning towards Red Lobster. Not because she loves or even LIKES seafood. But because she says they have the BESTESS macaroni & cheese :-).

Congratulations baby!!!

Spring soccer is officially OVER!!

...well almost! We stil have to do the end of season party for the boys this coming weekend...THEN we'll be done. Can you believe that registration for the Fall season has already started? I have a feeling that this summer break is going to go by quickly and we'll be right back on those fields...this is the life I live :-). (love it!)

Ok, I'm sure you're wondering how the boys did at the State Championship? Well, the road ends here. They played their little hearts out...and so did the teams they played. However, I will say that we had some AWFUL referees and they made some TERRIBLE calls. We had quite a few goals taken away because the refs were listening to the "other" parents whining and complaining. There are line judges and that's who the refs are supposed to get the TRUE calls from. But you know what they say, "the squeaky wheel gets the oil". Funny how those "speaky wheels" didn't squeak so much when their team caught up to us. Every game, we started off ahead. Then the ref started listening to the parents and in turn, making bad calls.

ANYWAY....no need in traveling back down that road. What's done is done. The Stingrays have SOO much to be proud of. They obviously did something right to have gotten this far. The district tournaments is as far as we've gotten in past seasons. But this time, they made it all the way to the State championships. That's something to be proud of! Remember the Mustangs? Well, they made it to the finals...but they had to play the one team with all the "squeaky wheels"...so they lost too. But again, Cobb FC was very well represented and those boys played their hearts out. Congratulations to the STINGRAYS and the MUSTANGS!!! You guys ROCK!!!

Now, for some pix from our fun weekend.

Cheryl, these first 2 are for you! I think you've found us a new tradition. As SOON as we got to the hotel, Jayla found the bed and HAD to jump on it. Now that she knows I don't mind AND I've got a camera in hand...all is right with the world :-) lol.

The next few shots were taken after the first game on Saturday. The boys played at 8am so they didn't really have time for a big breakfast. So between games, we all went to McDonalds. Have you ever been to a fast food restaurant with 11 pre-teens, 4 pre-schoolers/kindergardeners & about 12 adults? Talk about FUN!!! LOL.

The next game wasn't until 12:30pm...so the boys just chilled out on the McD's playground. Did you know you can climb better with cleats on? LOL (Yes, that's Markell laying on the top...hee hee)On Saturday, our "soccer" day was over around 2pm. So now the boys were ready for some down time. Several of them wanted to ride with us (Coach Marque), but we could only take four. The boys say that Coach Marque's ride is always "CRUNK" and bumpin the latest (clean) hip hop music :-). So here are the boys and Jayla getting "crunk" on the way back to the hotel.

The weather was GORGEOUS over the weekend. Ok...it was HOT!!! I found a way to rig up a supersized umbrella onto my chair. Here's some of the girls enjoying the shade that I'd created.

Well, that's about it for the pictures. Markell was a little too disappointed to let me take a picture of him after the game yesterday. But once we got some food in him, he was fine :-).

Lastly, let me take a minute to share one more thing with you. If you find time in your busy schedules to go to the movies...be sure to check out Shrek 3! It was SOOO cute and SOOO funny! We took the kids to see it Saturday night. Everyone loved it!

Have an awesome day!!

What happened on my birthday?, week wrap up & Friday Flower Fix

Ok, I'll be honest...I about passed out when I saw that Lynilu tagged me on her blog :-). She gave me a stearn talkin to when I tagged her a little while back. So that's why this shocked me so much...lol.

But I have to admit, the tag she gave was pretty darn interesting. The rules were for me to go to the Wikipedia site and type in my birthday, minus the year in the search bar. List 3 events, 2 births, 1 death and 1 holiday from my DOB, then tag 5 friends to do the same. Well, no one has ever said that I don't follow directions. SO...I did as I was asked...and here are the results:

November 17th

EVENTS:
1939, The Rome - Rio De Janeiro air connection is created.
2003, Arnold Schwarzenegger is inaugurated as Governor of California.
2004, K-Mart Corporation announces it's buying Sears Roebuck & Company for $11 billion and naming the newly merged company, Sears Holding Corporation.

BIRTHS:
1925, Rock Hudson, American Actor (d. 1985)
1944, Danny DeVito, American Actor

DEATH:
1998, Esther Rolle, American Actress (from the 1970's show, Good Times)

HOLIDAY:
International Students Day

Oh my, sorry, was I snoring? hee hee Talk about an exciting day over the years, huh? I promise not to bring any of this up when my birthday comes later this year...lol.

Alrighty, the next step is to tag 5 people to do the same with their birthdays. Ok, Jude, Cheryl W., B.E.M., Muriel & Susie Q.....you're up!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tomorrow afternoon, after we check Markell out of school, we're heading to Columbus, Ga for the State Soccer Championship. I haven't been going to the practices this week, but I hear that the boys are looking great and are ready to put on their game faces (it's good to be married to a coach). I also hear that the Stingrays are going to be up against some stiff competition this weekend. So keep your fingers crossed...I'll fill you in on Monday.
Isn't she lovely...
Happy Thursday everyone!
A few weeks ago, my good friend Cynthia and her wonderful "photographer sister", Lisa, did a photo shoot of Jayla. I hung around for the shoot and I could not WAIT to see how the pix turned out. From what I saw that day, it was gonna be great. And ya know, I was right!
Oh my goodness, the pictures are awesome! Ok, ok...I can't even talk about it anymore...you just have to look at them.
Check these out:
Enjoy your day!!
Tribute to MOM's
I'd like to start today by wishing all my friends/readers who either are mothers...or have mothers :-)...a Happy Mother's Day!!! I hope you were all treated like queens today and actually got the day off (kinda).
I thought today, I'd do one big post to cover several things. First, I'd like to share with you the beautiful cards I received from the kids. There are times, when you think your kids don't pay you much attention and they just kinda wander aimlessly through the day. And then there are the days, like this day of celebrating mothers, where you see that they HAVE been paying attention and that they DO really love you.
That brings me to my first card. Markell made this card for me today in his Sunday School class. And I must tell you, it made me cry.
The reason this card made me cry is because, like I said, he's obviously paying more attention than I thought. When he plays soccer, more specifically goalie, he gets so embarassed when he hears me on the sideline shouting, "YOU ROCK KEEPER!!!" But he DOES!!! And not only when he's playing the goalie/keeper position. But of all the things he could've said about me as his "mother"...he chose to say that I ROCK! That means so much to me. Simply because I know how I mean it when I say it to him. And now I see that he too knows...he knows that it's a huge compliment. Markell, you DO ROCK!!! Thank you sweetie, I love you!
This next card is one that Jayla made in Pre-K. The cover is so cute to me. She says that that's me and her holding hands. But the inside just cracks me up. I love that she doesn't know how much I REALLY weigh...LOL. And what a compliment to be as pretty as a strawberry. I will say though, that I was surprised that she said that my favorite drink is tea. I mean, I DO...but by far, Dr. Pepper is my favorite. She told me that after she said, "tea", she remembered the D.P...but the teacher had gone on to the next question :-).
This last card is the one Jayla made in Sunday School class today. This one is really sweet to me because she's always wanting to plant flowers with me. So the teacher gaave all the kids a packet of flower seeds to plant with their mommies. Thank you, sweet girl...mommy loves you!!
~~~~~~~~~
And now, it's time to Be INSPIRED! And of course, its a tribute to moms.

"A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take."

""There is only one way to lead a child down the right path...that is to go that way yourself."

"The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness."

"A mothers arms are made of tenderness and children sleep soundly in them."
~~~~~~~~~
This is the gift I made for my mother for Mother's Day. She's not into scrapbooking, but does have an appreciation for the craft. I took a risk by making this LO for her, as she is sometimes embarassed by this picture. Not sure how many of you have heard of or see an issue of Jet Magazine. Well, in every issue, they have what's called a "Jet Beauty". Which is a woman in a swimsuit and a little snippit of info about her. My mom was featured as a Jet Beauty in a June 1964 issue of the magazine. Like I said, today, she's a little embarassed by this picture. But I LOVE it!!! I think she looks awesome!! Not to mention, it's something she should be very proud of.
Anyway, here's the LO/gift that I gave her. I framed it for her hopefully, she won't be too ashamed to hang it in her home somewhere :-).
Well, alrighty then, that's all I've got for today. Again, I hope all you mother's have had a wonderful day and that you enjoy the rest of it.
Friday Flower Fix
Better late than never, huh?
I TOTALLY forgot about the Friday Flower Fix. Sorry, to those of you who look forward to it early in the day. But, the day is not over yet...so here ya go:
"Beauty seen is never lost: God's colors are all fast"
Have a beautiful weekend!
UPDATE: On treasure hunt
Happy Friday, all!!!
As promised, I'm updating you on the treasure hunt/chest project from Jayla's Pre-K class. Well, she didn't win but came in 2nd with points.
I'm a little disappointed that she didn't win the treasure chest contest. Not because I thought hers looked great. But because she lost to a child who BOUGHT an actual chest. The directions on the assignment actually said to make and decorate a treasure chest. So, that's what we did. Again, the child who won, bought an unfinished chest, like the kind you'd find at Michaels or something, painted it pink, and glued a few jewels on it. Shoot, I could've done that!!! But I didn't because I was showing my daughter how to follow directions, by doing what her teachers instructed. as well as how to be creative.
ANYWAY, that's alright. It was a fun project for us to do together and Jayla really enjoyed it. And isn't that all that matters?
Here's my little pirate. Have a great weekend!!!
Homework CAN be fun
Last Friday, Jayla's Pre-K class was given a really fun homework assignment. They had a do a treasure hunt. If they find all the items they receive a $20 gift card to Longhorn Steaks AND a $10 gift card to Toys R Us. Pretty cool, huh?
Well, not only did the kids have a list of teasures to find, but the parents had to find some too. Here's what we had to search for:
Parents treasures:
~Concert ticket stub - 3 pts.
~Wedding invitation - 2 pts.
~Highschool graduation picture - 3 pts.
~Pre 1980's baseball card - 4 pts.
~Eight track tape -3 pts. (this should be worth a LOT more than 3 pts.!)
~Sonogram picture - 1 pt.
~Postcard postmarked from another country - 10 pts.
~Foreign money (not Canadial or Mexican) - 6 pts.
~Picture of parent dressed in a costume - 3 pts.
~Photo of parent taken with tv or movie celebrity (no dressed up characters such as Mickey Mouse) 15 pts.
Child treasures:
~McDonalds Happy Meal toy - 1 pt.
~Varsity (restaurant) hat - 2 pts.
~Photo of student taken on vacation - 2 pts.
~Movie ticket stub - 3 pts.
~Sports jersey/T-shirt - 3 pts.
~Kids menu - 2 pts.
~Board game piece - 1 pt.
~Sunglasses - 3 pts.
~Party invitation - 3 pts.
~Celebrity autogragh addressed to the student (not from a dressed up character, can be from tv, movie or sports star)
In addition to finding all of these items, we also had to decorate a treasure chest/box to put the items in. And in case of a tie with points, the best decorated treasure chest will win.
(Notice the cute little bow on the "girl" skull & crossbones. Also, if you look closely, you'll see "jewels" and "coins" coming out of the chest)
We successfully found all but one of the items. Unfortunately, daddy and I don't have any photos with a tv/movie celebrity (we don't get out much with the rich and famous anymore...lol). But with a little help from friends & family, we have everything else.
The assignment is due tomorrow, so I'll let you know then how we did.
That's ONE down...
Guess what? My baby lost her first tooth this morning. She was SO excited. She was just as excited when it started getting wiggly. I'm pretty sqirmish...so I never wanted to see her wiggle it.
A few days ago, we noticed that the new tooth was starting to come in behind the loose one. So we knew it wouldn't be too much longer before the baby tooth came out. The past couple of days it's been really loose, so we knew it was a matter of time. Then this morning, while brushing her teeth, out it came. YUCK!!!
So we put it in a dixie cup so she could really "examine" it when she got home from school today :-).
Anyway, I just had to share that. She looks so cute with her little tooth gone. I can't wait to see how she looks when the two middle ones on the top come out.
Oh goodie...a new questionnaire
Well, Cheryl has been at it again. She has successfully "bloglifted" a questionnaire from someone :-). And as we can all see, she has no shame in sharing it with everyone others :-). So why should I be? Here goes!
1. Do you still have tonsils? yes
2. Would you bungee jump? Uh NO!!!
3. If you could do anything in the world for a living, what would it be? I think I'm already doing it, being a mother and a wife. However, I do think it would be kinda cool to have my own scrapbook/craft store.
4. Do you consider yourself well organized? Are you KIDDING me??? Uh NO!!!! I would like to be though.
5. Any addictions? I think I did a post on this before. But, ahem...yes, if that's what you want to call them. I "enjoy" Dr. Pepper, scrapbooking, scrapbooking supplies, shopping for my kids/family and magazines.
6. From what news source do you receive the bulk of your news? The internet.
7. Would you rather go to a carnival or circus? Actually, I'm fine not going to either one. But if I HAD to choose, I'd say a carnival.
8. What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning? Take my Pill then go potty.
9. Have you ever gone to therapy? Remember, I've had a teenage daughter before...so yes.
10. If you could have one super power what would it be? I'd love to be able to read peoples minds.
11. Have you ever gone camping? Yes, when I was younger. But I didn't like it and I will probably never do it again.
12. What was your first car? A 1980 something, BRIGHT yellow Chevy Chevette.
13. Do you go to church? Absolutely!! I love our church. We've been members now for almost 18 years!
14. Favorite flower? Tulip (purple preferablly)
15. Favorite potato chip? Lays KC Masterpiece BBQ
16. Astrological sign? Scoripio
17. Do you own a gun? I don't personally, but my hubby does.
18. What do you think of hot dogs? What do I THINK of them? What a funny question. Well, I think they are pretty darn tasty!
19. Favorite "geek out" TV show? The First 48
20. Do you eat Oreos whole or split them apart? I think I split them apart. But not to eat the cream middle first. Just to have 2 seperate pieces.
Well, that'll do it for me. The rules didn't say that we needed to tag anyone. But I'd like to anyway...I'm such a rebel :-). Ok ladies, you're on: Diane M., Susie Q., Renee H., B.E.M. & Veroncia.
Toodles!!
State CHAMPIONSHIPS, Look out...the STINGRAYS are in route!
WHAT A WEEKEND!!!!
Let me start by saying, I am EXHAUSTED!!! And I didn't kick a single ball.
DAY 1:
Oh my goodness, where do I begin? The Stingrays ROCK!!! Despite the 8am game time, the frigid temperatures, the fine misty rain and the thick fog, the Stingrays showed up with their game faces on. Unfortunately even though the boys played their hearts out, they didn't win the first game...but they didn't lose either. They tied with their first opponents, 5 - 5. The second game kicked off at noon...and shall we say, it was a shut out! The Stingrays won 6 - 0.
After a long, cold morning of hard playing, we took the boys back to the hotel for some much needed R&R. Then for dinner, we decided to have a little Mexican food to celebrate Cinco De Mayo. Once everyone was good and full, the 3 coaches and a few other parents took the boys to see Spider Man 3. Fortunately, the movie theatre was directly across the street from the hotel. And instead of risking an evening of minor nightmares, I didn't let Jayla see this movie. So she and I walked around the nearby Hobby Lobby then back to the hotel for some "girl time". We watched a movie on TV, read a book, played "office" with mommy's laptop and cell phone, then it was time for a bath.
Around 8pm, everyone was back at the hotel and ready to chill out for the night. But then "coach daddy" remembered that he'd promised Jayla that he'd take her swimming in the indoor pool. So in an effort not to disappoint, they suited up and we headed downstairs. Marque, Markell & Jayla had the pool all to themselves, and I had a great time taking pictures of Jayla jumping in to daddy. THEN...it happened. Somehow, the other 15 boys that were with us, got wind that Coach Marque was at the pool...lol, so they obliged us with their splashing presence. They all had a ball being thrown in the pool by Coach Marque.
DAY 2:
On Sunday, we all got to sleep in a little later, as the first game wasn't until 9:30am. Everyone got up, got breakfast, checked out of the hotel then headed on over to the fields. After circling the parking lot like 747's waiting to land, we finally found a parking spot. Like the day before, it was a little foggy outside, but not NEAR as cold. We found out spots on the sidelines and the games began. Also like the day before, the boys presented their opponents with a shut out. We won the first game 8 - 0! SWEET!!!
Ok, now...not as sweet, the team we were neck and neck in first place with, was also winning their game on the field right next to us. We needed for them to either be scored on by their opponents or lose so that we would be in first place and take this tournament. But Nooooo, that's too easy! Just like us, they won, with no goals scored against them. So what do we do NOW??? It's NOW left up to PK's (Penalty Kicks). These are rough! It's one on one, goalie against kicker. Who ever gets 5 goals first plays the #1 team in the next bracket. NOTE: the #1 team in the next bracket is, like us, a Cobb FC team. The ONLY team we lost to in the regular season. No pressure, right? WRONG. Anyway...long story short, we won the PK competition and had to play the Mustangs, the team we consider our "sister" team. We're friends with that team/parents, on and off the field. So it was gonna be bittersweet.
That game started at 1pm and it was a LONG wait. Finally, the game got underway and we scored 2 goals within the first 5 minutes. Woo Hoo!!! Then, it happened...the "sting" left the Stingrays and we got stung by the Mustangs...losing to them 6 - 2. What a DOWNER!!! Our boys were so pumped from the PK's that they were just mentally drained.
Well, the good news is, we came in 2nd place out of the 8 U12 teams that played. Not to shabby, huh? Also, the boys STILL get to go to the State championship in 2 weeks, in Columbus, Ga. Can't wait for that! They still have a chance!
What an emotional high this tournament was. Our boys did AWESOME and we are all so very proud of them. And now, some photos from our weekend. Enjoy!
Ode to Cheryl! LOL
My way of relaxing while Jayla takes a bath...checking out the 2Peas site and reading blogs. (Jayla took this picture of me when she got out of the tub)
Markell "attempting" to sneak up on daddy.
The whole crew!
Daddy showing Markell that it's not a good idea to sneak up on him :-). (notice some of the boys in the background waiting their turn to jump in with Coach Marque)
Instead of biting my nails during those intense games, I just peeled off my nail polish. UGH...that looks HORRIBLE!!
And finally, our exhausted Stingray! This was on the ride home yesterday. See that medal!!!
~~~~~

Sorry for the long post. But I had alot of exciting news to share. Again, hope you all had a great weekend. Toodles!!!

Friday Flower Fix & I'm outta here for the weekend

Good morning everyone.

Can you believe it's Friday already? YAY!!! Well, I'll attempt to be brief today as I have quite a few things to get done before the kids get out of school. May I have the list please.....

~ Check emails - done
~ Read blogs - done (updated 12:57pm EST)
~ Update my blog - done
~ Take MIL to grocery store - done (updated @ 12:17pm EST)
~ Finish packing for the weekend - done (updated 5/4 @ 2:30pm EST)
~ Clean out van - not necessary...lol (updated 12:56pm EST)
~ Pick kids up from school (one being checked out an hour early) - done
~ Hit the road at or before 4pm - done

Ok, that's about it. Doesn't look like alot, but I know me! This afternoon, we're heading to Stone Mountain, Ga, which is only about 50 miles away. Markell and the rest of the Stingrays have a soccer tournament that starts tomorrow. They play 2 games (9am & noon) and possibly 2 on Sunday, 1 for sure @ 9:30am. Depending on how well they play, there may be another one at 1pm on Sunday. AND, if all goes well with that one, we'll be heading to Columbus, Georgia in a few weeks for the championship. We've never gotten that far before. So I'm hoping the boys can go all the way this season. Right now, they're riding high on a 9 -1 season which is AWESOME!!! So wish them luck.

Hey Cheryl, maybe we'll get to jump on some hotel beds this weekend...LOL.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok, ok...I know this is the only reason ya'll read my blog on Fridays...hee hee. So without further ado, I present to you the Friday Flower Fix!
Not much can be said about this picture, huh? I LOVE tulips and this picture just screams how delicate and lovely they are.
Have a beautiful weekend and I'll see you guys on Monday!!! Go STINGRAYS!!!
I love surprises...Thank you Susie Q.!
If you keep up with Susie Q's blog, you'll remember on this day, another sweet lady and myself won a drawing that Susie had. She's so funny. She has apologized SEVERAL times for not sending my "award" yet.
I love getting stuff in the mail...especially something fun and unexpected. So I told her to take her time as I'd be happy with it whenever it got here.
Well, the package arrived yesterday and boy did she hook me up!!! LOL Somewhere in my many "about me" posts, I must've mentioned that I LOVE chocolate. I got some Dove chocolates...YUMMY!!! My hubby OBVIOUSLY likes these too and has questioned how I can win the next drawing on Sue's blog...lol. I also got some yummy mixed chocolates, some gourmet finely ground drinking chocolate mix, Cinnamon Apple tea, a wonderful cupcakes & muffins magazine, a beautiful tapestry wall hanging, a cute little painting w/ an easel and a Cary Grant movie.
How exciting is that???
Like I said, I love getting fun things in the mail. Especially from fun, wonderful friends. Hopefully one day, I'll be able to return the favor. But until then, Susie, know that I sincerely appreciate your thoughtfulness (and so does my hubby). Thank you so very much for the wonderful gifts. You're a sweetheart!
More quizzes...gotta LOVE it!!!
Well, I found myself on Cheryl's blog again and I'll be darned if she didn't have yet another quiz on there. lol
As most of you know, that doesn't bother me at all. I LOVE these things. And once again, these are different questions than any of the others. So if you're interested, read on.....
1. If you were to find out you were having twins (boy/girl), what would you name them? (after you picked yourself up off the floor, that is)
What a cool question. When I think about twins, I immediately think of having TWO of any of the kids I already have. And when I have that thought, I do get a little woozy feeling...lol. Anyway, to answer the question, I think I'd name my son, Jacob Everett (Everett is my hubby's middle name, and I love it!) Now the girl name is where I have a problem. Let's see, maybe I'd name her Samara Leigh. Whew...that was difficult.
2. If money were no object, what kind of car would you drive?
This question makes me sad...as I know that money will ALWAYS be an object. But for the sake of this quiz, I'd have to say the 2007 Chevy Tahoe and/or a 2007 Cadillac Escalade.
3. The President called and he's coming over for dinner, what will you fix?
Oh GREAT...Now I'll have to clean up AND cook!!! Sheesh! Ok, If Mr. Bush came over for dinner, I'd have to fix stuffed pasta shells. Cheryl made a good point about him being from Texas and everything. But that being the case, he may be in the mood for something without grill marks on it :-). So, stuffed pasta shells it would be. Complete with garlic break a nice salad and some sort of dessert. Probably chocolate delight. Wonder if he likes chocolate?
4. If you could eradicate a disease from this world, what would it be and why?
This is an easy one. I'd have to say Cancer. That pretty much covers it. There are SO many types of cancer, so I'd like to be able to wipe it out as a whole. Especially breast cancer. That dredded disease has touched my family twice. My sister in law died from it back in June of 2005 and my aunt is a surviver.
5. If you could participate in any reality TV show, what would it be?
Ok, I have a question...are those home decorating shows considered reality TV? If so, I'd love to be on that show, Design on a Dime or Divine Design. Other than that, I can't think of any shows I'd like to be on, as I don't watch reality tv...actually I don't watch tv much at all.
This was fun!! I won't tag anyone (this time). But if you feel like answering these, feel free to do so on my comments OR on your own blog. Have fun!!!
