Happy Father's Day!

...to ALL the dads out there. I hope this day is creating you all some wonderful memories. Before I get any further into this post, I'd like to bring attention to my most favorite 2 guys on this planet...My husband, Mister M. and my dad, Jay! (and you see 2 more of my favorites people here too, lol).

These two guys are an absolutely AMAZING part of my life. I love them both SO much. My dad, the first man I ever fell in love with and who still allows me to be his daddy's girl and his "sweet face" . (I can't believe I typed that...I use to hate when he called me that in public) And Mister M, the man I fall in love with over and over again, every day, in fact :-).

Sticking with this whole Father's Day theme of the day, I have to share something with you. I took a walk on the wild side, with respect to my scrapbooking hobby :-). (Cheryl will be glad) I actually did a mini album...acrylic at that, for Mister M. Ok, let me just go on record and say that doing an acrylic album is something I've wanted to do for quite some time. But now that I've done one, I am OVER it! lol. It was pretty challenging...something about the pages being clear and me being anal, LOL. ANYWAY...It took me about 7 HOURS to do the darn thing. I took a few breaks to eat or go potty or whatever. But I clocked about 7 hours on this puppy.

Let me just say that it was worth EVERY bit of stress that I experienced. Jayla gave it to her daddy this morning, saying that it was something WE made for him...ahem, WE? :-) By the 1st page, he was in (happy) tears. So I guess it's safe to say that he liked it, lol.

Wanna see it? (NOTE: I'm not sure if you can click on the pictures to make 'em bigger. But give it a try)

Supplies used: ScrapWorks 6"x6" scalloped acrylic album, Cloud9Design "Paisley Park After Dark Downtown" paper, Bassill Collections "Candy Apple" Itty Bitty Blossoms flowers & Bazzill Basics Paper flowers (Primula Brown)

That's it! Not too bad, huh? Like I said, Mister M. was very appreciative of the album and he even had a confession to make. He confessed that, although he gives me a hard time about taking SO many pictures and about the whole scrapbooking thing; he's glad that I do it. He says he enjoys being able to look back at special moments in our lives together, that I've preserved.

And these pictures obviously really made him all warm and fuzzy :-). He couldn't help but smile (and cry) at some of the pictures I found of him and his favorite little girl. I had no idea I had so many pictures of them together. I'm real pleased with how the album turned out.

Anyway, that's about it for me today. Again, I'd like to wish all the guys out there, a happy Men's Day and all the fathers, a Happy Father's Day. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Toodles!
