The Gig is up!

Hey ya'll!

How the heck are ya?

Ok, I wonder why I thought I'd be back to my ole bloggin ways once Jayla got back in school? That was just crazy of me, wasn't it? Man, I've been running around like a Hewbrew slave as of late.

Fortunately, it's not more than I can deal with. But, by the time I think about blogging, the day is SHOT!!

Anyhoo, life is grand and all is well. So, let's see, what's been goin on? Well, soccer has started now. The rain stopped long enough for us to have some practices. Jayla is still on the Lil Stingrays. But now the team is all girls. Coach Daddy is gonna have his hands full...LOL. There are 15 girls on the team. And being that he is now considered a head coach, that means my duties have changed a little. I'm kinda the team mom now. So we'll see how I handle that job.

Speaking of jobs, the scrapbooking gig is over. I delivered the album this past Wednesday. And guess what? She LOVED it!!! She even gave me a little bit of a tip. So that was a fun surprise. She also asked if I'd be interested in doing more work for her. So we'll see where that goes.

Let's see, what else? Oh, Cheryl had a really cool post not long ago, about celebrating birthdays. Well, needless to say, I haven't participated yet. It's not because I don't want to or because I've forgotten...ok, I did kinda forget :-). But, I just haven't gotten around to it. However, I will share a little bit of my "secret" with you. It perfectly ties into Cheryl's "birthday" post....well, kinda.

Tell ya what, how bout ya'll just tell me if you like this dress:

If I was having a party...may not necessarily a BIRTHDAY party, I'd want to wear this.

Excuse me a moment...To those of you that I've spoken a little bit about this to, NOT A SINGLE WORD!!! :-)

Ok, so, I want this dress for a very special event that's coming up. Yes, my birthday is coming in a couple of months. But that's not what it would be for. I can't spoil the surprise right now. So, I'll leave you with the dress for now. However, I would like to know what ya'll think of it.

Oh, back to soccer for just a second. Tomorrow is our season opener. So wish the Lil Stingrays luck. This season we'll be spending even more time on the field. As Mister M. is now coaching 3 teams. Jayla's all girls, U8 team, the U14 Stingrays and the U16 Barcelona. THIS is gonna be interesting!!! :-) Ok, wish them ALL luck!

By the way, Jayla is TOTALLY enjoying 1st grade and is doing awesome. It is still kinda hard to believe that she can read and write now :-). The girl has homework everyday and gets upset if I suggest that she have a little snack and "chill out" for a bit before she gets started on her work, lol. It's so amazing to watch her learn and enjoy school so much. She gets so excited when she reads to us or when she gets her math problems right. I just love it! I sure hope she keeps this attitude about school.

Well, I think that's all I've got for today. Thank you to those of you who have checked up on me or left me comments, "reminding" me that I need to update my blog, LOL.

Lastly, how bout a flower fix?

You guys have a great weekend and I'll keep you posted on how our teams do tomorrow. Remember, Be Inspired...I (still) am! :-)

Yay! Congrats on the scrapping gig. I'm glad your work was properly appreciated and that you might get some more work out of it! Good job!!

I knew your scrapbooking lady would love your work. So glad about the tip and the future possiblities for you. I know, from my own experiences, that it's fun, but not something that you can do at a fast pace for a very long time. Plus, even if you enjoy scrapping, doing it with someone else's pictures does become a job.

Have fun being team mom, and enjoying your little scholar.

Gorgeous dress. Are you getting it in that color? I hope so. I can only imagine the beautiful contrast...mmmmhmmm.

That dress is beautiful, elegant, sophisticated. I like!

Congratulations on the scrap booking job. Since you enjoy it anyway, it is great to get paid to do something fun!

And, ahem, it is dang good to have you back!
